The MACO disc cutterhead is standard on the MACO edger. It is also adaptable to edgers already in operation. The head is capable of a 5 1/2" cutting depth and produces an excellent finish. Available in 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8 knife designs depending on the desired feed speed and chip length.


The segmented Top Head utilizes a flat knife measuring 3" x 5 1/2". The knife is positioned by precision ground knife clamps and counter knives. The heads are easily serviced and replacement parts are stock items at MACO for quick, convenient service at reasonable prices. All feedrolls are chromed and knurled and feature bushing type mounting for easy replacement.

 

 

 


The MACO chipping edger features advantages that allow compatibility with a wide variety of feed systems, including the most sophisticated computerized optimization packages.

A Shifting Splitter saw is available as an option.

Each feedroll is powered by an individual hydraulic motor, or may be electrically powered if desired.
